We Were Sick of Replacing Beds
If you own a large or powerful dog, you already know the cycle. You buy a bed — maybe even one marketed as “tough” or “heavy duty” — and within days or weeks it’s gutted. Foam everywhere. Fabric shredded. Another $80 in the bin.
IronPaw started with a simple decision: stop accepting that as normal. Instead of foam and polyester, we looked at what materials could actually stand up to teeth, claws and daily punishment — and found the answer in industrial-grade PVC fabric and anodised aluminium frames.
We worked directly with manufacturers to spec a bed that prioritised material integrity above everything else. The result is a 1120GSM dual-coated PVC fabric, mechanically clamped into an anodised aluminium frame — built to last, and backed by a guarantee that says so.

Why the Specs Matter
Most dog bed brands don’t publish their material specs. We do — because ours are worth talking about.
1120GSM PVC Fabric
Our fabric is 1mm thick PVC at 1120 grams per square metre — the heaviest we could source. Standard “heavy duty” pet beds typically use 400–600GSM polyester. The difference in resistance to teeth and claws is significant.
Mechanical Clamping
The fabric edges are mechanically clamped into the aluminium frame channel — not sewn or glued. This means the fabric can’t be pulled loose from the frame at the edges, which is where most beds fail first.
Adnodised Aluminium Frame
The elevated frame is aluminium with an anodised finish for rust and corrosion resistance. It keeps your dog off cold or hot ground, allows airflow underneath, and won’t degrade in outdoor conditions.
