Find the Right Size

A bed that’s too small won’t be used. A bed that’s too big wastes space. Use this guide to get it right first time.

How to Measure Your Dog

You’ll need a soft tape measure and a treat to keep them still.

1

Measure Length

Measure from the tip of your dog’s nose to the base of their tail while they’re standing. This is their body length.

2

Add 20–25cm

Add 20–25cm to the body length measurement. This gives your dog room to stretch and sprawl comfortably.

3

Match to Table

Use the size chart below to find the closest bed size. When between sizes, always size up.

Sizing FAQs

My dog is between sizes — which should I choose? +

Always size up. Dogs sleep better with room to stretch. A slightly larger bed also helps chewers who tend to bite at corners — they can’t reach the middle as easily.

What do the dimensions refer to? +

The dimensions listed are the outer frame measurements. The sleeping surface (inside the frame) will be slightly smaller depending on the frame profile. If in doubt, size up.

My dog sleeps in a crate — which size should I get? +

Measure the inner floor of your crate and compare against our frame dimensions above. Choose the size that fits within those measurements with a little room to spare.

Do you offer custom sizes? +

Not for standard orders. If you have a specific requirement for a trade or kennel order, contact us at hello@ironpaw.com.au and we’ll see what we can do.
